Unlock your Leadership, Elevate your Career

Overview

The Career Advancement Program (CAP) is a nine-month transformative Senior Leadership Development and Executive Coaching program that gives professionals the keys to unlock their full potential and advance towards senior leadership roles.

Designed to propel highly talented mid-career professionals who have experienced inequitable access to career-accelerating resources, CAP is conducted in a challenging, supportive environment led by MLT’s executive level coaches. It pinpoints the unique challenges in the workplace these participants (Fellows) face that may be invisible to others. CAP’s risk-free environment allows Fellows to address these roadblocks, and then fully focus on developing high-impact capabilities. Participants will walk away with customized success strategies to accelerate their impact at the highest level. MLT programs are open to all who meet the criteria, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or other demographic identity.

How it Works

Throughout your CAP experience, you will address critical performance and behavioral gaps through intensive learning courses delivered using a phased approach.

Phase 1: Assessment and Awareness

CAP Fellows undergo a comprehensive assessment that includes input from their managers. Fellows also begin the one-on-one executive coaching process during this phase.

Phase 2: Experiential Learning

Fellows attend the Leadership Horizon Seminar (LHS), which covers key CAP curriculum elements. At LHS, Fellows learn from world-renowned business leaders, grow their networks, receive peer feedback in a safe environment, and continue their executive coaching sessions. During in-person programming, they attend a six-day, in-residence learning experience. In the virtual context, sessions are spread across a duration of approximately six months.

Phase 3: Reflection and Action

Fellows begin their practicum period of individual reflection and application. Key concepts and principles are applied “on the job” and in personal settings. Fellows participate in a leadership lesson series, continue executive coaching sessions, and receive LHS post-work curriculum resources that reinforce learnings from the previous phases.

Phase 4: Ongoing Networking and Development

Upon completion of CAP, Fellows receive a final verbal outcomes report with a personalized evaluation that chronicles their professional development journey. To commensurate, Fellows are invited to a CAP Graduation and Closing Ceremony, and welcomed into the distinguished MLT Alumni Community.

What CAP Models are available for organizations?

There are two CAP Models available to organizations. First is In-house CAP, where a cohort is comprised of individuals exclusively from one company, offering increased flexibility and an opportunity to incorporate your leadership principles.
