MLT’s Career Prep (CP) program provides emerging student leaders who have experienced inequitable access to career-accelerating resources. This includes a winning professional playbook, 20+ months of programming, personalized coaching, and a supportive network of over 11,000 MLT Alumni.
We will help you gain critical skills not taught in classrooms, cultivate personal clarity, and connect with top employers for potential internships and full-time roles. MLT programs are open to all who meet the criteria, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or other demographic identity.

You will gain insight into your strengths, passions, and developmental areas. You will define how these personal elements align with your ultimate career goals, allowing you to better tell your story in job interviews.
Job Search Guidance
You’ll develop the skills and relationships needed for your target career and become better prepared for the recruiting process. MLT coaches provide resume and cover letter support, as well as critical insights on networking, interviewing, and relationship management.
A Professional Network
You will connect with a powerful community of peers, who have similar interests and career aspirations, and join a network of more than 11,000 MLT Alumni, corporate partners and other business leaders.
Exposure & Access to Top Employers
Career Prep Fellows receive access to the leading hiring organizations in consulting, technology, financial services, consumer goods, retail and more – all seeking to recruit MLT Talent for internships and full-time jobs.
In-person and Virtual Seminars
Once you’re accepted into the Career Prep program, you’ll have the opportunity to join other Fellows at national seminars. Each seminar is designed to provide participants with the insights and skills needed to secure high-trajectory internships and jobs. These events include skill-building workshops, case studies, industry panels and networking sessions with corporate partners, Fellows, Alumni, and MLT staff. Content is delivered by our corporate partners, MLT Coaches, and additional subject matter experts. Seminars are generally hosted on campuses of MLT’s corporate partners. Consulting
Consulting is about leveraging data and insights to drive transformation and innovation within organizations. This track prepares future leaders to excel in advising both private and public-sector entities across various domains, including strategy, information technology, human resources, finance, marketing, and operations. You will develop skills to analyze complex problems, provide strategic recommendations, and lead change initiatives effectively.

Can have a variety of majors; strong quantitative skills key as the work is often analytically rigorous
Types of Consulting
Includes management consulting, industry-based consulting, human capital consulting, financial advisory services, and internal consulting
Key Industry Skills
Problem solving, data analysis, presentation delivery, creative thinking, and the ability to think conceptually and practically
Financial Services
The financial services industry offers dynamic and high-growth opportunities. This track emphasizes developing leadership skills for roles in Investment Banking, Asset Management, Sales & Trading, and Equity Research. Participants will gain expertise in managing financial portfolios, driving revenue, and making strategic investment decisions.

We partner closely with top employers to connect Fellows with internships, entry roles as software engineers, and a variety of business and technical roles. There are 2,100+ MLT Alumni working in tech—many as software engineers, product managers, or IT engineers or consultants
Corporate Management
Corporate Management is central to driving business success through effective planning, execution, and oversight of operations. This track is designed to cultivate future leaders who excel in managing and optimizing business functions to ensure profitability and the long-term viability of products and services. Participants will develop a deep understanding of strategic management, organizational behavior, and operational excellence.
